What is Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy?
Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy is a non-invasive therapy program that is used to correct dysfunctions and poor habits of the tongue and facial muscles. It includes exercises and functional modification techniques to promote proper tongue position, improved breathing, chewing and swallowing, reduce pain and enhance quality of life. When these goals are accomplished, proper Craniofacial growth will be allowed to take place in children, troublesome symptoms are easier to treat and may disappear.
